Dit Bronze is overveldigende uit de nepal kunstenaar Shakya in 2.500 jaar oude traditie van de "verloren vorm" of "een" cire perdue ". 

De leeuw is een symbool van macht, moed en majesteit in de hele wereld geweest. In Nepal, het dier symboliseert de zelfde deugden. De Nepalese woord voor "leeuw" is "singh;" afgeleid van het Sanskriet woord "simha", wat betekent "leeuw." Het gebruik van "Singh" als familienaam werd voor het eerst opgenomen door de oude Ahir koningen van Nepal en later door de Rajputs van de 7e eeuw als gevolg van het woord associatie met macht en majesteit.

The Nepalese word for "lion" is "singh;" derived from the Sanskrit word "simha" which means "lion." The use of "Singh" as a surname was first incorporated by the ancient Ahir kings of Nepal and later by the Rajputs of the 7th century because of the word’s association with power and majesty.
